A book entitled 'In the name of Azerbaijani women', prepared by the Heydar Aliyev Heritage Studies Center, was presented on March 6.
The publication contains texts in Azeri, Russian and English, messages and speeches on women's policy by the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, as well as speeches by the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, First Lady of Azerbaijan, MP Mehriban Aliyeva at international forums.
"The book particularly highlighted the public role of women during the country's independence, presented their achievements," the head of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Hijran Huseynova, who wrote foreword for book, said during the event.
According to her, book "In the name of Azerbaijani women" will be interesting for both scientific and political figures of the country.
Azerbaijani women have always actively participated in the public-political life of the country, the scientific consultant for the book, a real member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Siences Asaf Nadirov said during presentation.
"Women have become a powerful force in the life of Azerbaijan," said Nadirov.
The publication of this book is timed to the 10th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev's signing a decree on the women policy in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
