Milli Majlis Deputy Ganira Pashayeva met on Saturday with a delegation led by chairman of the Federation of Turkish Journalists (FTJ) Attila Sertel.

The meeting was attended by Director of Bureau of channel NTV Mery Ak, chairman of the Society of Journalists of the city of Kayseri Veli Altinkaya, Society of Journalists of the city of Sakarya Sezai Matur and chairman of the Association of Parliamentary Journalists Elshad Eyvazli.

"There is no difference between the Azerbaijani and Turkish peoples. Do not think that you came in any other country. You have arrived at you motherland," said Ganira Pashayeva.

The delegation of the Federation of Turkish Journalists is visiting Azerbaijan from 21 to 25 July. The delegation held meetings with representatives of various state and public structures of Azerbaijan.

"Reciprocal visits by Turkish and Azerbaijani journalists are very important. The transfer of the realities of our countries into the international arena is a large cargo that falls to journalists," noted the Deputy.

According to her, FTJ has already done much work in this direction.

"From the public in Azerbaijan this activity is seen with love. Is necessary to strengthen work in this direction, because it is very necessary for our future" Pashayeva said.

President of the Federation of Turkish Journalists Atilla Sertel stressed that Ganira Pashayeva is known and loved in Turkey.

"So we wanted to meet you. You have repeatedly visited Turkey, but we have not been able to meet you. This meeting is an honour for us," Sertel said.

Chairman of FTJ noted that they would try harder to increase cooperation between the Azerbaijani and Turkish journalists.

According to him, the exhibition "The genocide perpetrated by Armenians in Azerbaijan in photographs" started in Turkey.

"The exhibition was held in Ankara, Izmir, Alanya, and Mide. It is in Aksaray. It is planned to hold it in the most cities in Turkey. During the exhibition are displayed over 60 photos of the genocide committed by Armenians in Azerbaijan", said Sertel.

MP Ganira Pashayeva noted that FTJ has undertaken a great mission.

"I think it comes from love of Turkish journalists in Azerbaijan", Ganira Pashayeva said.
