Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports has announced the rules of organizing totalizators in Azerbaijan.
"Payment is not required to obtain a license to open a bookmaker in Azerbaijan. Those wishing to open totalizators should get a post-terminal for 3,000 manat, which may be at any time returned and get repaid," Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov told reporters on Wednesday.
The activities of the sports totalizators in the country are governed by the state from this year. The Ministry of Youth and Sports has established Azeridmanservis Department, which will manage activities of totalizators in cooperation with the Turkish İnteltex Company.
Involved in these works, Azinteltek has produced up to 300 post-terminals.
The minister said those opening totalizators should invest money in the bank for the amount by which it will attract bids. "If the organizer can not pay the prize, it will be paid to the client from the account of the bookmaker," said Rahimov.
According to the minister, at the beginning of the activities of totalizators in Azerbaijan, experts will be invited from Europe, which will hold trainings for organizers of the bookmakers.
