The ballet "Love and Death" is based on the heroic epic Kitabi - Dede Gorgud (Book of Dede Korkut). This epic was created more than 1,300 ago. It belongs to the outstanding examples of ancient monuments of the world written literature.
The ballet is dedicated to the eternal themes - good and evil, life and death, love and betrayal.
It was demonstrated for the first time in Dec. 2005 in the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
The play was demonstrated in Ankara at the initiative of TURKSOY and the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
