A criminal case over persons involved in an illegal rally, which was conducted by the so-called the Public Chamber in Baku on April 2, has been sent to a court.
The case completed over the investigation cases of Sahib Kerimov, Babek Huseynov, Arif Alishli, Zulfugar Eyvazov, Elshan Hasanov and Elnur Israfilov, was sent for consideration to the Sabail District court, the Prosecutor General's Office told Trend.
A criminal case has been filed against them under the Article 233 (organization of actions directed at violating the public order, as well as active participation in these actions) and the Article 315 (use of force or resistance to police) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
Some 14 persons, who have distinguished themselves particularly active in the illegal actions, were brought to a criminal responsibility.
An operational and investigative activity is underway to identify others involved in organizing the rally.
