Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan handed a graduate diploma to Azerbaijani Lieutenant Hikmet Sahratov, who graduated with honours at the graduation ceremony of the Military Medical Academy in Turkey Gulhane (GATA), newspaper Sabah reported.
According to the newspaper, Sahratov, who is an eighth child in the family, received his secondary education in Azerbaijan and then enrolled at GATA.
The graduation ceremony was also attended by the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament Cemil Cicek, Chief of Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces Necdet Ozer and other high-ranking military officials.
