Turkish companies are to take responsibility for the state of cleanness at Mecca, the holy city for Muslims, Turkish SABAH newspaper reported on Friday.
According to the newspaper, an agreement was reached between the municipalities of Istanbul and Mecca. Turkish companies will also watch over the cleanliness situation in the area where Kaaba is situated.
Mecca is the centre of pilgrimage for Muslims and each year visited by more than four million pilgrims.
