The Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents has prepared a bill on Accreditation, the committee told Trend today.
The bill has been prepared to bring the Azerbaijani accreditation system into line with those of international and regional systems.
Specialists from the Twinning project, undertaken by the Committee in conjunction with the EU participated in the bill preparation.
The document has been improved on the basis of the EU and the World Trade Organization's requirements. It has been brought in conformity with the requirements of international organizations, foreign and local specialists, as well as employees of the U.S. Agency for International Development. The bill on "Accreditation" has been submitted to the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers.
This bill defines the basic principles of the Azerbaijani accreditation system, general requirements, accreditation procedures, the foundations of international cooperation in the field of accreditation and standards.
