Azerbaijan demonstrated good performance in the Eurovision Song Contest again and achieved success, Azerbaijani participant Farid Mammadov told media today.
Today, accompanied by young people he laid a wreath at the monument to Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Mammadov ranked second in the contest in the Swedish city of Malmo. He expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani people for their support.
He added that he is planning new projects and concerts. He received the proposals of cooperation from foreign companies.
"I really want the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Baku again," he said. "I hope this will come true in the near future because Azerbaijan was among the best throughout the performances."
He added that he tried to show all the best at the Eurovision stage and this performance was appreciated. There were no problems in Malmo. Everything was organized at a high level.
"It is encouraging that our efforts were not in vain," he said. "It was very hard, but we tried to succeed. I hope we will win again."
