Azerbaijan joins Global Code of Ethics for Tourism

Baku, Azerbaijan, April 3

UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and Azerbaijan Tourism Association (AzTA) signed a document on Azerbaijan's joining the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism.

The document was signed in Baku on April 3 by the UNWTO Secretary-General, Taleb Rifai and the head of AzTA, Nahid Baghirov.

The signing ceremony was attended by Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev.

The minister said Azerbaijani citizens visit many countries and a large amount of tourists come to our country, and this process is organized by the travel companies.

The minister also stressed that with Azerbaijan's joining the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism, the country's tourism sector will take a responsibility to comply with ethical norms with respect to the tourists and visitors coming to Azerbaijan.
