Azerbaijan's Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman), Elmira Suleymanova received the UNICEF Baku Office Head, Mark Hereward with regard to completion of his activities in Azerbaijan, Ombudsman's Office said on June 2.
During the meeting, Hereward highlighted the effectiveness of cooperation with the staff of Azerbaijani Ombudsman's Office.
Suleymanova and the office staff praised the monitoring conducted for studying the child rights situation, and the proposals sent to corresponding authorities following these studies.
They also praised the measures aimed at legal enlightenment, as well as the positive experience in phased teaching of child rights in Baku and Azerbaijan's regions.
Suleymanova also wished success to Mark Hereward in his future activities.
Hereward in turn said he is interested in the further mutual cooperation.
At the end of the event, the ombudsman presented Mark Hereward with a commemorative medal, souvenirs and dictionaries.
