Azerbaijani president, his spouse perform Umrah pilgrimage in Mecca (UPDATE 2)

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva and their family members performed the Umrah pilgrimage on Apr. 6 in Mecca, the main holy city of the Islamic world.
The president, his spouse and their family members arrived in special attires in the mosque al-Masjid al-Haram.
The mosque has several floors and nine minarets, enrapturing with its beauty and grandeur.
The head of state was warmly welcomed in the mosque.
The president and the people accompanying him toured around the Kaaba, and performed Salah (prayer) in the mosque.
Afterwards, the visit to the Al-Safa and Al-Marwah hills had started. Azerbaijani president and his family members walked seven times between these two hills.
Islam originated in Mecca. Each year, during the Hajj, millions of Muslims come from different parts of the world to perform Salah in the mosque.
President Ilham Aliyev and his family members went to the Kaaba, and performed Salah there.
After the completion of the Umrah the head of state viewed al-Masjid al-Haram and was informed in details about the mosque.
