A composition called "The Future of Azerbaijani Gymnastics" will be presented at the opening ceremony of the FIG World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnastics, Head Coach of Azerbaijan national team in rhythmic gymnastics Mariana Vasileva told Trend Feb. 18.
"As the name implies, all of our young athletes will take part in the composition," Vasileva said. "The composition will last 15 minutes and will be accompanied by the national Azerbaijani music."
She said that the opening ceremony will be very interesting, because it will involve representatives of all six types of gymnastics - women's and men's artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline gymnastics, acrobatics and aerobics.
"I invite everyone to the opening ceremony, and I believe that this will be a great start of the first FIG World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnastics in Azerbaijan," Vasileva said.
The FIG World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnastics will be held in Baku from Feb. 19 through Feb. 21.
The National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, as well as the relevant services of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) will receive guests from 19 countries coming to Azerbaijan for this major gymnastics event.
The FIG World Challenge Cup is an important event for the world gymnastics, and will be in the limelight of local and foreign mass media.
