The latest on the road accident in Turkey’s Igdir Province

19:50 (GMT+4) Chairman of parliament of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov, Interior Minister Ahmad Ahmadov and Health Minister Niyazi Novruzov visited the event site in the Turkish province of Igdir, the Igdir Province Governor’s Office told Trend Feb. 20.

The governor’s office said that the officials of Nakhchivan will also visit people injured during the accident in the hospital.

As a result of two buses’ collision in Turkey’s Igdir province, four out of eight people killed during the accident are Azerbaijani nationals. Two of those killed are inhabitants of Nakhchivan – Suleyman Aliyev and Farhad Farhadli. The identities of a woman, presumably an Azerbaijani national, who don’t have any documents and a girl aged about 13 haven’t been established yet.

Twenty-eight people have been injured during the accident and 26 of them are nationals of Azerbaijan.

17:56 (GMT+4) Identities of two Azerbaijani nationals killed in the road accident in Turkey’s Igdir Province have been established, the province’s healthcare authority told Trend Feb. 20.

One of them is Suleyman Aliyev and the other is Farhad Farhadli.

The identities of other casualties are being clarified, according to the healthcare authority.

15:21 (GMT+4) Five Azerbaijani nationals and three nationals of Turkey have been killed as two buses collided in Turkey’s Igdir Province, the province’s healthcare authority told Trend Feb. 20.

The health condition of one of the 28 injured is critical.

14:28 (GMT+4) Eight people have been killed and 28 have been injured in the road accident, the Igdir Province Governor’s Office told Trend Feb. 20.

Twenty-six people among those injured are Azerbaijani nationals.

Currently, Governor of Igdir Ahmet Turgay Alpman is in the hospital where the injured people have been taken.

14:12 (GMT+4) Azerbaijani Consulate General in Turkey’s Kars Province has told Spokesman of Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry Hikmat Hajiyev that the accident killed eight and work is underway to find out whether there are Azerbaijani citizens among the casualties.

In the meantime, Nurettin Aras, a member of Turkey’s Grand National Assembly, told Trend that there are four Azerbaijanis among the eight killed.

13:39 (GMT+4) Twenty-six Azerbaijani nationals have been injured as a result of the road accident in the Turkish province of Igdir, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s Spokesman Hikmat Hajiyev has told Trend.

13:26 (GMT+4) Reports suggest that two buses have collided in Turkey’s Igdir Province on the road running from Igdir to Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan.
