The policemen of Azerbaijan’s Jalilabad district and the representatives of the Azerbaijani State Border Service have detained previously convicted resident of Jalilabad district G. Yagubov for smuggling drugs from Iran into Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry on Feb. 22.
The detainee hid the drugs brought from Iran on the territory of the land plot of his relative living in Kovuzbulag village. During the search operations, four kilograms of heroin and two kilograms of opium were found.
The investigation is underway.
