Participation in the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions is a great experience for us, the US athletes Willow Noble and Sydney Padios told Trend.

"We guess that in the first qualification we showed a good result. We were satisfied with the performance. Participation in such a large-scale competition for us is also an opportunity to test our strengths. Preparations for the competition were conducted well, and we are grateful to everyone who supports us - parents, coach and, of course, teammates on this path,” they noted.

“The organization of the competitions in Baku is good, the program is clearly drawn up, all the components that are important for athletes were taken into account here. The US team is happy with everything. Our goal is to reach the final and succeed there. A good result at the end of the performance always motivates and gives us strength," the gymnasts said.

Noble and Padios also shared their impressions of their visit to the capital of Azerbaijan.

"We get great pleasure from communicating with Azerbaijanis who are always friendly and welcoming. Baku is a beautiful city!," added the athletes.

The 12th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions is being held in the capital of Azerbaijan on March 3-6.

Some 438 gymnasts from 24 countries are taking part in the competitions, which have been organized by the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation for the first time.
