BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. On April 3, 2022, at about 03:00, the hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations "112" received information about an explosion at a facility located along Tarlan Aliyarbekov Street, Sabail district of Baku, Trend reports citing press-service of ministry.
The forces of the State Fire Service and the Special Risk Rescue Service were immediately called to the scene.
When assessing the operational situation at the scene, it was found that an explosion occurred at an object operating as a nightclub, which led to a fire and a collapse inside the premises.
Thanks to the prompt intervention of firefighters, the fire was extinguished in a short time. Search and rescue operations are underway at the site.
Deputy Minister for Emergency Situations, Lieutenant-General Etibar Mirzoev, is at the scene. According to preliminary data, as a result of the incident there are dead and injured.
