BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 16. Applications of organizations intending to conduct exit-poll at the parliamentary election in Azerbaijan scheduled for September 1 have been considered, Trend reports.
According to the presentation of Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan Rovzat Gasimov at today's CEC meeting, the Sociological Research Center, which appealed to the CEC, intends to conduct an exit poll at the parliamentary election.
“This organization plans to conduct an exit poll at 750 polling stations in 75 constituencies. No discrepancies or irregularities were found in their application and documents, and it was considered legal to create conditions for the exit poll,” he added.
The decision was put to vote and adopted.
On June 28, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree dissolving the sixth convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament and calling for an extraordinary election.
The snap parliamentary election in Azerbaijan is scheduled for September 1, 2024.
