BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 30. As of today, 18 mass graves have been uncovered during excavations in the territories liberated from Armenian occupation, with the remains of 169 people presumed missing exhumed, Trend reports referring to the report of Gazanfar Ahmadov, Secretary of the State Commission of Azerbaijan on Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons.

According to Ahmadov, the identification process revealed that 59 of the remains belonged to individuals who went missing during the First Karabakh War.

He also mentioned that during the extensive construction and reconstruction activities in the territories liberated from Armenian occupation, the remains of 259 people were discovered and exhumed. The identities of 16 martyrs who were previously missing have been confirmed.
