BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 3. The third Forum of Azerbaijani doctors in Germany will be held in Bonn on September 14, 2024, Trend reports.
The event provides a valuable platform for professional exchange and networking between Azerbaijani doctors and medical students in Germany. It serves as a platform for dialog and cooperation in the field of medicine and healthcare and contributes to strengthening relations between Azerbaijan and Germany.
About 200 authoritative experts in various fields of medicine will gather on this occasion to discuss current topics in the field of medicine and healthcare. The forum will be a platform for the exchange of experience and discussion of common problems relevant to the healthcare systems of Germany and Azerbaijan.
The majority of the specialists came from Azerbaijan to Germany 15 years ago, frequently as visiting doctors, resident physicians, or medical students. Thanks to the high-quality training and professional opportunities provided to them in this country, they were able to build successful careers. Many of them today hold leadership positions as senior doctors and chief physicians in their respective areas of specialization.
The Forum was founded last year on the initiative of Nuran Abdullayev, M.D., Chief Physician of the Department of Radiology, Neuroradiology, and Nuclear Medicine at the GFO Clinic in Troisdorf and Chairman of the Alliance of Azerbaijanis in Germany. Currently, Elvin Huseynov heads the board of the forum. The event will also be attended by representatives of the Azerbaijani government, including the Chairperson of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, Fuad Muradov.
To note, more than 2,000 doctors from Azerbaijan are currently working in Germany. Every year, about 60 percent of graduates of Baku Medical University consider moving to Germany after studying German.
The forum aims to strengthen existing ties and pave the way for future cooperation. It will be a unique opportunity to recognize the contribution of Azerbaijani medics to German healthcare and emphasize the successful integration of these specialists into the German healthcare system.
The first forum was held in the city of Cologne, the second in Berlin, and the third forum will be held in Bonn.
