BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 14. Armenia needs to revise its constitution to show respect for Azerbaijan’s national sovereignty, Trend reports via an article by famous Israeli scholar of Arab culture, a lecturer at Bar-Ilan University Mordechai Kedar in The Jerusalem Post.
The newspaper's as a non-alternative option, considered the creation of normal good neighborly relations by Armenia, deprived of Russian support, with Azerbaijan and Türkiye, abandoning the support of Tehran with the prospect of a peace agreement with Azerbaijan.
According to the article, the development of events in this direction will significantly weaken the religious radicalism encouraged by Tehran in the region.
The publication noted that Azerbaijan, ensuring secular rule of law in every territory under its control, has so far made an important contribution to establishing an atmosphere of secular statehood in the region, successfully preventing the spread of religious radicalism.
The author pointed out that the victory of Azerbaijan as a strategic ally of Türkiye in the Second Karabakh War led to the weakening of forces that kept the region in tension and, in exchange, to the enhanced influence of the Turkic alliance.
The article also pointed out that about a million Azerbaijanis became internally displaced persons as a result of aggression by Armenia, which, ignoring four UN Security Council resolutions, illegally occupied Karabakh and seven districts of Azerbaijan for 30 years.
Against this backdrop, the author emphasized the need for Armenia to revise its constitution to respect Azerbaijan's national sovereignty.
