The diplomas of the Azerbaijani universities, colleges and special trade schools will be issued free of charge from 2006, Misir Mardanov, the Azerbaijani Education Minister, told Trend.
The funds for this purpose will be allotted by the state or educational institutions. Now the graduates of the universities, colleges and special trade schools, except secondary schools, pay a 10,000 manats duty to receive diplomas. The certificates of the graduates of the secondary schools are free.
The Education Ministry will conduct attestation of 6 universities this year, the Minister said. The attestation will be conducted in accordance with the Regulation on attestation and accreditation of universities and special trade schools.
The Regulation is confirmed by government, while the Education Ministry developed special rules and criteria in this respect. The Ministry plans monitoring of 4 special trade schools more by the end of this year.
