The officials of the Azerbaijan’s Embassy to Georgia maintain permanent contacts with the lawyer of Telman Huseynov, convicted for resistance to the Georgian police officers, the press secretary of the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Georgia Elhan Poluchov told Trend on 28 September.
The diplomat noted the resident of the Vahtangisi village, Gardabani province of Georgia has no health problems, but Hasanov himself stated through his lawyer that his conviction is related to the activities of some officials who retained their posts after the change of power in Georgia.
В"By the decision of the Gardabani district court Hasanov was jailed in Tbilisi where he serves his three-month imprisonment”, Poluchov noted, reminding the Azerbaijani citizen of the Vahtangisi village held the action of protest on 16 September and blocked the road. The action’s participants, headed by Telman Hasanov charged the Georgian authorities with the violation of rights of the national minorities representatives.
