The term for being under investigation for the former head of the Chief Department on fighting criminality under the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan Zakir Nasirov has been extended, his lawyer Adil Ismaylov told Trend.
According to him, the investigation term has been twice prolonged. В"According to the law, the term has been this time extended for 3 months. The reasons for that are identification of new witnesses and incompleteness of some investigative actions, the lawyer said.
It should be reminded, the Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov stated recently that Nasirov pleaded himself guilty in concealing and partial complicity in crimes committed by his ex- subordinate, the former senior operations officer Hadji Mammadov.
