Ali Nijat, the spokesman for the Congress of World Azerbaijanis (CWA), told Trend that the CWA established a working group for preparations for its 9th conference, to be held in Brussels from 9 to 11 December 2006. The working group is headed by Javad Derakhti.
The 20-member includes Deputy Chairman of the CWA on international relationships, Rahim Shahbazi, Deputy Chairman on political issues, Eldar Garadaghly, Deputy Chairman on financial issues, Jabbar Sattaroglu, Deputy Chairman on culture issues, Khazar Emin, the head of the Baku Office of CWA Pasha Galbinur.
Nijat added that the working group includes representatives of the CWA from Sweden, Germany, and Turkey. Oktai Rustamov, who is currently residing in Brussels, will be involved in the conduct of a conference. One of the places that the conference might took place is the headquarters of the European Union, he stressed. The President of Azerbaijan, representatives of the state bodies, MPs, heads of political parties and non-governmental organizations will be invited to the forum. By the end of September Derekhti will visit Baku to invite them officially, he underlined.
