The Ministry of Youth & Sport of Azerbaijan is completing work on the Anti-Drugs Convention, which will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Deputy Minister of Youth & Sport, Ismayl Ismaylov informed Trend that the World Anti-Drug Agency (WADA) has certain requirements for countries who wish to join the international document. An active fight is held against drugs in Azerbaijan, and a special committee has even been created under the Ministry. In addition, we conduct active propaganda and prepare methodical literature with the aim of encouraging our sportsmen to keep away from banned medicines and to prepare for the Olympic Games in China in a drug-free manner, Ismaylov said.
