Familiarising the British public to mugam music and folk art is the key objective of an event held by the Azerbaijani Embassy in the UK in association with the Azerbaijani Society of London and the Oriental and African Research Department of the London University, who organized a mugam evening in London.
The embassy informed Trend that the concert was held in the hall of the Oriental and African Research Department of London University with the participation of a trio вЂ" Mahmoud Salah, Elman Sadykhov and Gochaga Asgarov.
Moreover, BBC Radio recorded the performance. Prior to the concert, a photo exhibition Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis' by young Azerbaijani photographer, Bagirzade, was organized.
