Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamghizi / Gudsi Osmanov, Azerbaijani Consul General to Saint-Petersburg, and N. Vinogradov, the First Deputy Governor of the Volgograd region, agreed on 13 April to hold "Azerbaijan Day" in Volgograd in 2008.
An Azerbaijani delegation headed by Osmanov, met with officials during the framework of the visit. Bilateral links between Azerbaijan and the Volgograd Region in economic, cultural, and other fields were discussed during the meeting.
The Consulate General and the Governor's Office of Volgograd Region made the decision regarding Azerbaijan's participation in the international project "Mugham Trio" to be held in October.
