Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / Azerbaijani-Czech Society functioning in the Czech Republic, has plans to hold a number of events dating to the 89th Anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijani Democratic Republic (ADR), as well as to the 4th Anniversary of the Society, the chairman of the Azerbaijani-Czech Society, Elshan Nazarov, said on 26 May.
Opening ceremony of the offices of the 'House of Azerbaijan' and the Azerbaijani-Czech Society will be held on 28 May. The event will be attended by Azerbaijani and Czech officials, artists, representatives of the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad.
The office of the 'House of Azerbaijan' is situated in the centre of Prague. The office will be engaged in popularization of Azerbaijani culture and history. A Sunday school is planned to be opened here.
Later, a celebration in the honour of Azerbaijan will be held at the Lidiche Memorial Complex, where a film about ADR will be showed. An exhibition of Azerbaijani painters and a concert of jazzman Emil Mammadov will be held in the Memorial Complex afterwards.
The officials of the Czech Interior Minister and the Ministry of Culture, media representatives are expected to be in attendance.
