Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Alizadeh / The Azerbaijani State Commission on Student Admission (SCSA) reported on the 18th of June, that the acceptance of documents for entrance into Magistrate was concluded.
There were 4,520 places for magistrates and some 12.474mln electronic applications of bachelors were accepted.
In 2006 the number of places for magistrates made up 4,360 and 10.795 people sent applications.
Presently, some 11.041 were students from the Azerbaijan sector and 1,433 from the Russian sector.
In 2006 this figure was 8,502 from the Azerbaijani sector and 2,293 from the Russian sector.
The number of planned places on different specialties are classified as the following:
- techniques, natural-techniques sciences ( these specialties are grouped in 34 programs)- 801 places;
- economic and management specialties (these specialties are grouped in 8 programs) - 1459 places;
- enlightenment and natural sciences (these specialties are grouped in 10 programs) - 870 places;
-specialties on agrarian fishing economy and nature management ( these specialties are grouped in 6 programs) - 89 places;
- humanitarian and social sciences (these specialties are grouped in 21 programs) - 1301 places;
