Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend K.Zarbaliyeva / The appeal of the former Senior Officer of the Criminal Investigation Department at the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry and other defendants will be considered at the Appeal Court of Azerbaijan on 17 July. Nariman Huseynov will consider the appeal.
The appeal regarding the sentence of Haji Mammadov, charged with numerous murders and many other crimes, as well as the members of his gang, is being reviewed by Judge Shahin Yusifov.
During the Court's hearing preparation, the appeal to cancel the case and have it re-investigated was not satisfied.
The defendants and lawyers complained to the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan because of dissatisfaction of their appeal at the preparation hearing.
In compliance with decision of the Court, Mammadov was sentenced to life imprisonment with confiscation of his property.
