Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend I.Alizade / Employee of the Azerbaijani newspaper of Nota Bene, Faramaz Novruzoglu, has been already hunger striking for one week, said the head of the Press Service of the Penal System of the Justice Ministry of Azerbaijan, Rafig Ramazanov on 27 July.
Faramaz Novruzoglu went on hunger strike on 20 July. Novruzoglu's relatives say that he has sewed his mouth shut. The journalist has put forward six requirements, including meeting with representatives of international organizations and the Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan. He also wants his case to be reconsidered otherwise he will denounce his Azerbaijani citizenship.
