Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr Z. Safarov / Chess players from eight countries will participate in an international tournament to be held in Baku from 2 to 12 September.
According to the Azerbaijan National Chess Federation, sportswomen from Poland, Georgia, Ukraine, India, Bulgaria, Sweden, Latvia, and Azerbaijan will be in attendance. The participants will play in a round robin, as a result of which the winner will be defined. A number of Azerbaijani chess players, including Ilaha Gadimova, will represent Azerbaijan in the tournament.
Several years ago Azerbaijani Sheki region hosted a women's chess tournament. The visitors appraised the organization of the tournament.
