Azerbaijan, Ganja / Тrend corr V. Mammadov / This year 438 people with infectious diseases were registered in the Azerbaijani Ganja city, with 354 of them being children, the department head of Ganja Infectious Diseases Hospital, Shirin Ahmadova, reported on 2 August.
According to her, during the aforementioned period, one patient suffering from food poisoning and six patients suffering from intestinal upset came to the hospital. Some thirty-four people caught brucellosis, ninety-nine - hepatitis А, four - hepatitis В, and four - hepatitis С.
During the same period of 2006, 361 people with infectious diseases were registered.
Ganja is located 365km west of Baku.
