Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Agayeva / From 1 September the State Commission on Student Admission of Azerbaijan will hold an test for students who entered the universities in 2007 and wish to receive their education at universities in different countries.
On 16 April 2007 the Azerbaijani President issued a decree to adopt the State Program on Education of Azerbaijani youth in foreign countries in 2007-2015. Under the program, 5,000 young people from Azerbaijan will study abroad.
Participating in the test will be applicants who scored 550 points in the 1st group during the entrance 2007/2008 exams and 600 and more in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th groups. Students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd years may also participate under the same conditions.
A total of 386 appeals were made to the State Commission.
