More than 47 million tons of oil and non-oil products have been shipped via Iran’s Hormozgan ports in the first half of 2018, said Allah-Morad Afifipour, the director general of Hormozgan Province Department of Ports and Maritime Organization.
“Around 30.541 million tons of non-oil and 16.872 million tons of oil products were shipped via the Hormozgan ports in the first half of the year,” Moj news agency quoted him as saying.
He pointed out that 18,296,596 tons oil non-oil and 6,562,901 tons of oil products have been exported via Hormozgan ports during the reporting period.
Hormozgan is home to Iran’s major ports on the coasts of Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman, including Bandar Abbas and Shahid Rajaei.
