Turkish companies in Azerbaijan are preparing a project to build a road to Nakhchivan, Anar Najafli, spokesman for the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, told Trend on Apr.20.
According to Najafli, the companies carry out all work on the projects of the roads of the Karabakh region, which are then submitted for approval to the Azerbaijani government.
"After the approval of the project, the state allocates the necessary funds for construction and restoration work, and local companies start building roads in accordance with the prepared project," he said.
The spokesman noted that all construction work in Karabakh, including the planned Nakhchivan section, is being carried out jointly with the state agency by local and Turkish companies specializing in road construction.
