BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 17

By Sadraddin Aghjayev - Trend:

Kaspersky Lab is aware of the challenges and difficulties faced by modern enterprises of critical infrastructure, official representative of Kaspersky Lab in Azerbaijan Mushvig Mammadov told Trend on June 17.

“Therefore, tools for any level of security have been presented in the Azerbaijani market,” Mammadov added. “The modern industrial enterprises are paying more attention to cyber protection both in technological and corporate spheres.”

“A responsible approach to this issue has been facilitated by the changing landscape of cyber threats and much attention to the industrial sphere by regulators worldwide,” the official representative of Kaspersky Lab in Azerbaijan added.

“The process of ensuring security at such sites is very difficult,” Mammadov said. “For example, software renewal in industrial enterprises is often slower than in the corporate segment.”

“Objective obstacles for this are difficulties with compatibility with other specialized software, long-term use of equipment, the inability to stop production, as well as internal bureaucracy," an official representative of Kaspersky Lab in Azerbaijan added.

Mammadov stressed that Kaspersky Lab is aware of the challenges and difficulties faced by modern enterprises of critical infrastructure.

“Therefore, the Azerbaijani market offers tools for any level of enterprise security beginning from protecting end devices involved in the technological process by using specialized solutions (Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity ) and ending with prevention of complex targeted attacks (Kaspersky Anti-Targeted Attack and expert services),” official representative of Kaspersky Lab in Azerbaijan said.

“Moreover, our experts are ready to assist in the development of compensatory measures if, for some reason, it is impossible to close the existing gaps,” Mammadov said.

“In such cases, it is recommended to implement, for example, network segmentation and perimeter protection, inventory of assets and vulnerabilities, monitoring of network activity and security events," the official representative of Kaspersky Lab in Azerbaijan stressed.
