The production of grain and legumes in Azerbaijan in 2022 is projected at 3.568 million tons, including 1.992 million tons of wheat and 11,600 tons of rice, Trend reports referring to the draft state budget of Azerbaijan for next year.
According to the document, in 2023, 2024 and 2025, the production of grain and legumes in value terms in the country will amount to 3.7 million ($2.177 million), 3.82 million ($2.24) and 3.93 million manats ($2.3 million), respectively.
At the same time, according to forecasts, over 1.907 million tons of vegetables will be produced in Azerbaijan next year, including more than 1.127 million tons of potatoes, as well as 363,300 tons of cotton, 8,000 tons of tobacco, 343,700 tons of sugar beets, 1.272 million tons of fruits and berries, 222,100 tons of grapes and 1,000 tons of tea leaves.
