The annual general meeting of the American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (AmCham) was held, within which the elections to the board of directors and to the post of AmCham president were held, Trend reports with reference to AmCham.
Jeyhun Mammadov was elected chairman of the annual general meeting. Mammadov introduced 12 candidates running for 10 vacant positions on the AmCham board of directors.
During the post-election counting procedure, former AmCham President Nuran Karimov spoke about the chamber's activity and achievements over the past four years.
In turn, during the meeting US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lee Litzenberger emphasized the importance of cooperation with AmCham on a number of issues, including women's economic empowerment, a transparent business environment, intellectual property protection and addressing climate change.
The following members of the AmCham Board of Directors were elected for a two-year term as a result of voting:

2. Shahin Mammadov, PASHA Holding LLC
3. Zaur Allahverdizade, BAKER HUGHES
4. Dayanat Sadullayev, PMD Group LLC

6. Teymur Mahmudov, SOCAR
7. Elnara Mammadova, BP
8. Kanan Tabasaransky, Smart Solutions Group
9. Ilgar Mehti, EKVITA LLC
10. Bakhtiyar Akhundov, MOL Azerbaijan LLC
Moreover, Nargiz Nasrullayeva-Muduroglu was elected president of AmCham.
AmCham has been operating since 1996. Presently, the chamber includes 260 companies.
