BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. The average monthly nominal income of employees in Azerbaijan increased by 11 percent in 1Q2022 compared to the same period in 2021 and amounted to 768.3 manat ($452), Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, the average monthly nominal salary of employees of state-owned enterprises amounted to 714.8 manat ($420.4) and private - 830.8 manat ($488.7) in 1Q2022.
Growth of average monthly nominal income was recorded in the mining industry, the financial and insurance sectors, the sphere of information and communications, and construction, also in the transport and warehousing sectors during this period.
The number of employees in Azerbaijan increased by 3,600 people or 0.2 percent, as of March 1, 2022, compared to the same period last year.
