BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 18. Azerbaijani oil and petroleum products supply to Italy from January through July 2022 amounted to 6,679 million tons, which is 40.69 percent of the total Azerbaijani oil exports, Trend reports via the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
However, this figure decreased by 19.6 percent year-on-year (8,317 million tons over 7 months of 2021).
In value terms, Azerbaijani exports of oil and petroleum products to Italy in the reporting period of 2022 amounted to about $4.9 billion, which is an increase of 36.3 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 ($3.6 billion).
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan’s oil and petroleum products export from January through July 2022 exceeded $12.3 billion - an increase of 63.2 percent year-on-year ($7.5 billion in 2021). However, the volume of Azerbaijani oil exports in the reporting period slightly decreased by 4 percent - from 17.106 million tons to 16.414 million tons.
The total trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Italy in the reporting period of 2022 amounted to over $11 billion, which is 139.7 percent higher than from January through July 2021 ($4.6 billion).
