BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 13. The cost of paid services provided to the population in Azerbaijan increased by 15.1 percent and amounted to 5.3 billion manat ($3.1 billion) from January through June 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee, legal entities provided services to the population in the amount of 3.9 billion manat ($2.2 billion), which reached 74.9 percent of the total cost of services.
Moreover, each resident of the country used various paid services in the amount of an average of 525.4 manat ($309.06) in the first six months of this year, which is 108.5 manat ($63.8) more compared to the same period last year.
Of the total cost of paid services rendered to the population in Azerbaijan, the public sector accounts for 1.1 billion manat or $647 million (an increase of 11.5 percent compared to the same period last year), and the private sector - 4.2 billion manat or $2.4 billion (an increase of 16.1 percent).
According to the State Statistics Committee, legal entities in Azerbaijan provided services to the population for 7 billion manat ($4.1 billion) during this period, which made up 75.9 percent of the total volume of rendered services.
The cost of paid rendered services to the population in Azerbaijan increased by 4.8 percent and amounted to 7.7 billion manat ($4.5 billion) in 2021 compared to 2020.
