ANKARA, Türkiye, August 20. The number of passengers arriving at Trabzon International Airport (Türkiye) totaled 1 million (up 13 percent) in July 2023, reports Trend referring to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
According to the ministry, the airport's passenger traffic on domestic flights increased by 6 percent and amounted to 1 million people in July, while on international flights it increased by 47 percent reaching 457,606 people.
Airport cargo turnover in July 2023 increased 8 percent to 20,263 tons year-on-year. The airport's cargo turnover for domestic flights in July 2023 decreased 4 percent year-on-year to 12,603 tons, while international flights increased 37 percent to 7,660 tons.
The number of flights at the airport increased by 19 percent to 15,253 in July 2023 year-on-year. Meanwhile, domestic flights increased by 11 percent reaching 10,871 and international flights increased by 45 percent totaling 4,382.
The passenger traffic for all airports in Türkiye was 118 million and cargo turnover was 2 million tons in July 2023 .
Earlier in 2022, passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye was 181 million and cargo turnover was 4 million tons.
