Uzbekistan builds multifunctional complex worth $400 M

Multifunctional complex Tashkent Central Park to be built in Uzbekistan will consist of three 15-story buildings, Trend reports citing the Tashkent administration’s press service.

According to Uzbek capital’s administration, the project is being implemented by Turkish Taşkent Merkez Park Gayrimenkul Yatirim Anonim Şirketi (subsidiary of Turkish “Calik Enerji” company).

The company's foreign direct investment will amount to $400 million. The initiator of the project is UzTur Investment and Development from Uzbekistan.

The project implies the construction of three 15-story buildings: a hotel and two business centers with a two-story underground parking and a walking green area on a total area of ​​2.5 hectares. It will create 200 new jobs, the press service notes.

According to the administration, the complex will be launched in 2023.

The plans for the construction became known in December 2018, when a relevant decree of Uzbekistan’s Cabinet of Ministers was announced.

In addition, investors and the contractor are exempted from paying all types of taxes and obligatory payments, a single social payment and customs duties (excluding fees), and from value added tax on works and services performed and rendered by non-residents of Uzbekistan.
