Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan plans creation of a trade and logistics terminal, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media.
For the construction of the trade and logistics terminal, a non-agricultural land plot will be allocated on the territory of Saihunabad district in Syrdarya region.
Within the framework of the project implementation in 2020-2024 it is planned to attract investments to the amount of $25 million for construction of the terminal for storage, processing and sale of metal, and wood products.
Chinese Xinjiang Guorui Economic & Trade Co., will become the investor. It is expected that this enterprise will employ at least 200 people.
Offices of the State Committee of Veterinary Medicine, State Customs Committee, Ministry of Health, State Committee of Ecology, Uzstandart Agency and Uzdavkarantin Inspectorate will be accommodated free of charge.
Logistics terminal will create the possibility to address all customs, express-laboratory, phytosanitary, veterinary, sanitary and epidemiological issues, conduct eco-surveillance and on-site compliance assessment.
Also, state and commercial services, including international logistics, will be provided at the terminal.
