Azerbaijan and Georgia Increase Flights

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / Azerbaijan and Georgia intend to intensify the aviation schedule from ten up to fourteen to twenty flights within a week, Zurab Nogaideli, the Georgian Prime Minister, said during the Azerbaijani-Georgian intergovernmental commission on economic issues.

An additional protocol is necessary in the aviation transport sphere, Nogaideli said. Such a protocol is necessary first of all for strengthening the economic interaction between both countries.

AZAL placed an order with the French Aircraft Enterprise producing the airplane brand ATR. Azerbaijan will buy two airplanes -ATR - 42-500S and four ATR - 72-500S on j2 225/j2 226 flights. The flight will be scheduled three days a week from Baku at 07.40 to arrive at Tbilisi at 08.00, and leave Tbilisi at 09.00 and arrive in Baku at 11.20. The flights j2 225/j2 226 will fly five days a week, leaving Baku at 14.50, arriving Tbilisi at 15.10, leaving Tbilisi at 16.10, and arriving in Baku at 18.30.
