I.Khalilova / The specific weight of the oil incomes of Azerbaijan in 2008 will increase because of current acceptable oil prices in the world markets, which leads to raise of payments to the Azerbaijani state budget, Samir Sharifov, the Azerbaijani Finance Minister, said.
The oil sector will provide payments to the State budget of the country to AZN 3.83bln which makes up 51.9% of the total budget.
The oil taxes increased to 61.8% in the first quarter of 2007. The oil taxes sector made up AZN 1206,8mln taking into account taxes from participants of the Azerbaijani International Operating Company on development of oil Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields, which made up AZN 751,3mln and AZN 449,6mln from the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
Special measures have been taking in the country due to development of the oil sector. The non-oil incomes made up AZN 2.27bln in Azerbaijan in 2006.
The incomes from the State Customs Committee made up AZN 505mln in 2006 the figure increased to AZN 1.1bln in 2007.
The budget incomes have been divided into oil and non-oil sector since 2007. The oil taxes increased to 50% in 2007 the figure will make 42% in 2008.
