Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr E.Mammadov / The first bus functioning via the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku route running through the territory of Iran started from Nakhchivan on 8 November, Zakir Guliyev, the General Director of Avtonagliyyat state company, said. One bus will function in this route a day.
The buses will run via Iran, as the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) is in Armenian blockade and the air transport is only communication with the rest part of the country.
The route will be opened on the basis of a memorandum signed between Azerbaijan and Iran. Buses will depart from Baku international and interurban bus stations. One ticket will cost AZN 14.
