Longest Bridge to Construct in Azerbaijan’s Shaki City

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. E.Guliyev / The construction of the longest bridge with 1,266m length has been launched above the Shin River in Azerbaijan.

According to Khalid Rasulov, the contactor of the construction, despite there were a lot attempts to construct the longest bridge in the country the damaging force of the Shin river caused to stop the construction work. The bridge with 1,266 length and 17m width will connect the Inja village with Ashagi Goynuk village of Shaki city of Azerbaijan.

The bridge will be constructed at the expense of the Azerbaijan I Transport Ministry. The fee of the construction has not announced. The bridge is planning to put into commission at the end of 2008.

Shaki is located 352km north-west of Baku.
